Selena Gomez Presents 2022 SAG Award Barefoot With Martin Short
Selena Gomez walked barefoot onstage at Sunday night's 2022 SAG Awards as she presented the award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role alongside co-star Martin Short.
The 29-year-old "Only Murders in the Building" actress stunned in a black Oscar de la Renta gown. She accessorized her look, curated by stylist Kate Young, with a Bulgari necklace that features more than 200 carats of diamonds and is worth $1 million.
Gomez, who is also nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, appeared to be wearing black heels as she walked the red carpet, but show-stopping shoes? Who needs them?
Fans were quick to notice the star's decision to forgo the shoe and shared her hilarious reactions on social media.
"Selena going barefoot in front of some of the biggest celebs is actually the most Selena Gomez could do at the #SAGAwards," one person joked.
He added another, "Selena Gomez performing barefoot at the SAG Awards and I love it."
Meanwhile, another tweeter joked that Gomez's wardrobe choice is ushering in a seismic shift throughout society: "Selena Gomez showing up barefoot at the SAG Awards is definite proof of the mood change."
Several people applauded the Disney Channel alum for apparently prioritizing comfort over fashion.
“Selena Gomez is barefoot? I love her,” one person tweeted. "F-k heels."
