British actress Emilia Clarke was in the middle of filming Game of Thrones when she suffered two aneurysms that changed her life.
In 2011, Emilia Clarke rose to fame with her leading role in the famous series 'Game of Thrones', in which she played Daenerys Targaryen, also known as Daenerys of the Storm, She Who Burns Not, Breaker of Chains, or Mother of Dragons.
Clarke, a symbol of power and strength, thanks to her charismatic character, became one of the actresses of the moment but, between filming, she suffered two brain aneurysms that seriously endangered her life.
"It was the most excruciating pain," Clarke said in a recent interview with the BBC's "Sunday Morning", in which he offered some harsh statements in which he is honest about how he survived the two brain aneurysms suffered during the filming of the Serie. "It was incredibly helpful that 'Game of Thrones' pulled me in and gave me a purpose," she mentioned.
After filming the first season of the series, while exercising in a gym in north London, she suffered a first aneurysm and was quickly transferred to a local hospital, where she was diagnosed with a stroke caused by a hemorrhage in space. that surrounds the brain.
The actress made a satisfactory recovery from the condition, however, in 2013 she suffered a second aneurysm. Both cases required several emergency operations in which the actress was about to lose her life.
“A part of my brain is no longer usable, but it is clear that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my completely normal life with absolutely no repercussions,” she explains. "I'm in the very, very, very small minority of people who can survive that," Ella Clarke said, acknowledging how lucky she is to still be alive.
"There's a good chunk missing," she mentioned Clarke before letting out a big laugh. “In strokes, as soon as any part of your brain doesn't get blood for a second, it's over. The blood finds a different route to travel and then the missing part disappears.
Fortunately, these problems have been left behind for the brilliant actress, who is fully recovered. So much so, that since last July 6 she has returned to the world of theater through her role as Nina in 'The Segull' (The Seagull), which is presented in London's West End.
After suffering from the two brain aneurysms, the Emilia Clarke decided to found a charity to help those who have suffered brain injuries and strokes, called SameYou. Since then, the actress has not stopped helping those people who have had the misfortune to go through situations similar to hers by organizing her.
"I thought, 'Well, this is who you are. This is the brain you have. So there's no point in continually racking your brain about what might not be there."

In 2019, Emilia Clarke recounted one of the most painful personal aspects of her life through the essay 'A Battle for my Life' shared by 'The New Yorker'. In it, the now 35-year-old actress recounts her experience of having suffered two aneurysms during the filming of "Game of Thrones" and what that experience left her with.
What she described as a terrible headache when she started training turned out to be a subarachnoid hemorrhage that landed her in the hospital at the age of 24, which she concluded with surgery. Upon waking up from her, the actress reports that the procedure had left her with aspasia, a neurological condition due to brain damage and with which Emilia had trouble even remembering her own name.
Having just finished the first season of the series, she believed that her career was over. Well, not enjoying good health, she feared forgetting her lines and having to abandon the role that had given her fame: Daenerys Targaryen.
Fortunately, Emilia Clarke managed to overcome those symptoms and return to the stage, even joining the Broadway production of 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' with the role of Holly Golightly. Shortly thereafter she was due for a second surgery, after her brain had "doubled in size" according to Clarke's doctor.
However, what should have been a relatively simple procedure went awry, and Emilia suffered a new hemorrhage, which even led to parts of her brain being replaced with titanium.
