Michael Bay called the actress complicated and she compared him to Hitler. The controversy sank her career, but a decade later she accumulates projects in film and television while she enjoys love with rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
At just 35 years old, turned May 16, Megan Fox has lived through practically everything in the entertainment industry. Being a teenager of hers, her classmates made fun of her because she said that she wanted to be an actress, but she soon got it and at only 15 years old she participated in a film by the Olsen twins. Since then, her spectacular physique opened the door for her to series such as Two and a Half Men or the Transformers film franchise, but she denounced that she was simply used as props. After a high-profile dispute with Michael Bay, she was fired and branded a difficult actress. But nearly a decade later she's back to work, she's the happy mother of three, and she's dating singer Machine Gun Kelly after divorcing actor Brian Austin Green.
Raised in a very strict home, Megan Fox says that as a child her mother and her stepfather did not allow her to have boyfriends or bring friends home. So she soon decided that she would live in her mother's home until she had enough money to support herself.
At just five years old, she began to attend dance and singing classes, doing some work as a model at 13. As noted above, at age 15 Fox entered the entertainment industry with the film Adventure in the Bahamas. And at 17 she moved to Los Angeles.
She got in front of a camera, Ella Fox has spoken on many occasions about the machismo of Hollywood and how they treated her, all this before #MeToo. As she explained on a 2009 Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, she was cast in the movie Bad Cops 2 (2003) as part of the extras in a nightclub scene. The problem is that the young woman had just turned 15, so to avoid placing a minor in a bar or drinking, Michael Bay, producer of the tape, decided that Fox, who only wore a bikini with the United States flag, high heels and a cowboy hat, dance under a waterfall while getting soaked. "That's how Bay's mind works," added the actress.
After her would come Transformers 1 and 2 (2007, 2009) where, according to Fox, one of her casting tests consisted of pretending that she was repairing a director's Ferrari. And when she asked Bay about the motivations of her character, he simply told her that she was beautiful. When the first tape was shot she was 20 years old.
In the media Bay did not praise Fox's work either and assured on numerous occasions that she was an "insufferable" and "complicated" actress. Shortly before the filming of the third installment of Transformers began, the interpreter responded by comparing him to Hitler. "Bay wants to behave like Hitler on the set. He wants to gain a reputation as a megalomaniac, he's a nightmare to work for. [But] when he walks off the set and he's not in director mode I really like his personality because he's so shy. No It's hopeless. It has no social tools at all and it's even endearing."
Fox was immediately fired. Bay said it was at the behest of the film's producer, Steven Spielberg, though Spielberg denied this. The fact is that they soon replaced Fox with another explosive woman: Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
The films' co-star, Shia LaBeouf, agreed with Fox, saying, "Megan developed a sort of Spice Girl strength, a female empowerment that made her uncomfortable working with a director many consider lewd. Michael shoots women." with the attitude of a horny 16-year-old and I think Megan never felt comfortable with that. When Mike asked her for specific positions, there was no time to be delicate, the shooting goes very fast. And Mike has no tact, no I had time to politely ask him to please arch his back 70 degrees."
The Hollywood industry and the media sentenced the actress and her career sank. And personally, her professional debacle coincided with her wedding to actor Brian Austin Green (47) and her motherhood. The couple met in 2004 on a set of the comedy Hope & Faith when she was 18 and he was 30. In 2010 they married and had three children: Noah Shannon (2012), Bodhi Ransom (2014) and Journey River Green ( 2016).
