Sansa and Aria Stark - Game of Thrones
In Game of Thrones, we also find two sisters, Sansa and Aria, although their relationship is not the most idyllic. They never quite got along. Maybe because Aria has always been the favorite daughter, and that can weaken the sisterly relationship. But to make matters worse, they were separated at the beginning of the series. Throughout the plot, a relationship between animosity and a null connection is continuously reflected.
Partly because they are completely opposite in taste, hobbies, and character. Sansa is more feminine, submissive, and gentle; while Aria is more masculine and X. Despite all this, off-screen, the actresses who play Sansa and Aria are inseparable. They party together, go to music festivals and, even share the same tattoo. On Instagram, they even said in one of their many photos that "there will never be more faithful sisters."
Anne and Mary Boleyn - The Boleyn Sisters
In this film, Natalie Portman plays Anne Boleyn who competes with her sister Mary, played by Scarlett Johansson, to win the love of Henry VIII. The Boleyn sisters' relationship is as strong as it is complicated. Both are very different. Ana is ambitious and does anything to get what she wants. Maria, on the other hand, is much more tender. However, the great conflict between them is not because of their personality itself, but because of the great rivalry to which they are subjected as a result of family pressure. Off-screen, these two actresses are very different from their characters. On the set of the film, they got along very well. Even Natalie, who in real life is an only child, asked Scarlett for advice on what the relationship is like and how to act between sisters.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are one of the most famous twins on television. They are sisters, friends, and also big stars. So much so that they have grown together (both physically and professionally). This has meant that they have always shared everything but they have never cared to do so. Their rapport is such that on occasion they have confessed to having memories of when they were girls and not knowing for sure which of the two had happened to them. This good relationship between them made them a very good couple in the cinema, a facet for which they really became known. Since they were little girls, they starred in movies and television series such as Forced Parents, Two for the Price of One, or Three for Three. In the case of the first mentioned, both represented the youngest daughter of the family. Its advantage was that being identical, the filming scenes could be shared. As for their way of being, they are very different. They differ as far as tastes and hobbies are concerned. And, although on occasion they have been dressed the same, each one has her own personal style that characterizes her.
Hallie Parker and Annie James (You to London and I to California)
If we talk about identical twins, it is inevitable to mention You to London and me to California. The Disney remake of this movie is already a cult film from the 90s... A true classic among those born in the decade. In this film, its protagonists, Hallie and Annie, are twin sisters separated after their parents' divorce. They both meet again at a summer camp without knowing the existence of each other and decide to switch roles for a few weeks. Both Hallie and Annie are played by the same person, a very young Lindsay Lohan. The actress knew how to perfectly capture the two twin sisters with their respective –and very different– personalities. So much so that she led many to believe that she was dealing with two different people.
Hannah, Holly, and Lee (Hannah and her sisters)
In the 80s, New York director Woody Allen created Hannah and her sisters. This film depicts the lives of three very different sisters both in character and in the way of life of each one. Hannah (Mia Farrow) is the oldest. She seems to be perfect, so the others (Holly, played by Dianne Wiest) and Lee, played by Barbara Hersey) always come to her for advice. However, her happiness is only appearance. She has, in a way, stipulated her role as an older sister, which is why she tries to help the other two before worrying about herself. The film is as natural as life itself since it narrates what their relationship is like while they share their fortunes, achievements, and little tragedies. In this attempt to capture reality, disputes are also served, but the bond between sisters is shown to be a stronger bond than any problem.
