Amaia Salamanca brings the glamor of golden Hollywood to Cannes

Amaia Salamanca has done it with a style inspired by the great divas of the seventh art, signed by Atelier Pronovias and made by Antonia Payeras. It is the first time that we see the actress in this emblematic film festival on the French Riviera and she has done so by keeping the glamor bar at the top and betting on fashion.

The dress has been made in two different qualities and colors: the skirt in Italian crepe in intense black, and the bodice in red silk mikado. The imposing skirt is made up of a mermaid cut, very tight to the body, with an opening on the left side and a spectacular 2-meter and 40 cm long train.

The bodice is strapless, made with an inner corset for an impeccable fit, and embellished with organic draping that gives life to the asymmetrical sleeves and wraps around the neckline. Dramatic satin opera gloves complete the spectacular look in true Rita Hayworth style. The creation of this dress has required around 60 hours of tailoring and 30 more hours for the modeling, developed in the artisan atelier that the firm has at its headquarters in Barcelona.

The jewels chosen by Amaia Salamanca matched the design that has made her one of the most sophisticated on the red carpet. The protagonist of Bienvenidos al edén opted for vintage High Jewelry pieces, courtesy of Del Páramo Vintage, with white gold settings and pavé brilliant-cut diamonds. They are 'petal' earrings of Italian origin that date from the 1980s and were made with more than 14 carats of diamonds.

Her debut at Cannes has been memorable, but the truth is that the actress has us used to being the queen of red carpets. Throughout her nearly 17-year career, there are many times that she has stood out for her elegance and her exquisite taste when it comes to transferring trends to photocalls.

Amaia, 37, is one of the most popular faces on film and television in Spain. She rose to fame for her role as Catalina and she did not stop accumulating leading roles in productions such as the Gran Hotel series or the film Brain Drain. Her motherhood was a turning point in her career.

"They are streaks, I was almost two years without working and you have to know how to assimilate each stage. You feel like you are changing the generation, that the public forgets about you," she told to the Magazine! Once the fears have been overcome and the hardest stages come back. She is now experiencing a moment of professional success with Welcome to Eden, which has released its second season, while she is enjoying family life at the same time.
