Next in Fashion
One of the funniest and most addictive fashion reality shows on the grid is Next in Fashion, in which the winner can win $250,000 if he proves to be the designer with the most future in the fashion world. Hosted by influencer and model Alexa Chung and designer and TV presenter Tan France (Queer Eye), the show brings together 18 dressmakers from different parts of the world ready to show off their talents.
In principle, they will have to face each other in pairs, with looks inspired by the red carpet, prints, jacket suits, or streetwear clothing. The emotion arises in the middle of the program, at the end of the fourth episode and the beginning of the fifth (in which the top model Adriana Lima appears) when the judges are unable to choose the best of the round. From now on, the challenges are already done individually, with outfits related to sportswear, the military look, and denim. The latest challenge is hair-raising: design 10 looks in three days and gracefully parade them down the catwalk.
Makeup artists
Getting a foothold in the beauty sector is not easy. The 10 participants of Makeup Artists (Glow Up) will have to face various tests over eight weeks in which they will show their skill, technique, and imagination. In the first program, the proposed look is rebel-themed and then they must create a personal style that shows what makeup means to each of them.
The jury is made up of MAC Cosmetics Head Makeup Artist Dominic Skinner, who says he is looking for a creative makeup artist who sees things differently, and L'Oreal Paris Makeup Director Val Garland, who says the challenge of the program is to discover a new generation of make-up artists who inspire her, who move her to tears. The first season, with eight episodes, has other challenges, such as creating film prosthetics, red carpet, and catwalk looks, and even blindfolding makeup.
Instant Hotel
This reality show analyzes the growing phenomenon of Airbnb, renting your own home to tourists. The four contestant couples believe that their house is the best and they will compete against each other to prove it. A newly married couple with a house by a bay; a mother and her daughter with an apartment on the beach; a gay couple with a meticulously decorated apartment of their own and a couple with a house inspired by the 50s.
Instant Hotel starts in the Australian city of Humpty Doo, in a huge property with more than two hectares with a swimming pool where a couple and their two girls live. The four contestant couples, very different from each other, will have to spend the night in that spacious shelter, but with little privacy and full of bugs. They should rate the space according to the house itself, the location and local attractions, comfort (if they slept well), and value for money. In the following episodes, it will be their houses that will pass the test. As of the sixth installment, new contestants enter and start over.
Interior Design Masters
This is a program in which interior design is the most important thing for its 10 applicants, from different fields, professions, and nationalities, who seek to turn their lives around with what they like to do the most. In Interior Design Masters they will compete to get a contract that consists of designing the historic bar of the Dorset Hotel in London. Until that moment, they must demonstrate their creativity with eight challenges, one per episode in the first season.
The first of them consists of redesigning and transforming two show houses to attract potential buyers, divided into two groups in which each of the contestants is in charge of one of the rooms. In subsequent episodes, they will have to decorate a hotel next to the beach inspired by chocolate, the bedrooms of a residence, a couple of restaurants, or two hairdressers. The finalists will have to choose in the end between the Scandinavian look or the bohemian chic for the design of a luxury apartment. Ideal for jotting down ideas for our own home.
