Amy Schumer's witty remarks about a scene with wrestler John Cena in her film Trainwreck have caused a stir on Twitter. During her promotional visit to Australia, Schumer humorously claimed that Cena had forgotten he was supposed to be acting during the scene.
During an appearance on The Project, Fifi Box from the panel asked Schumer about the scene in the movie while she was accompanied by her co-star Bill Hader.
Referring to the scene, Box began, "That scene with you in the bedroom, Amy..."
Hader playfully interrupted, saying, "That was so sweet of you! The scene in the bedroom where you're, on top of each other."
When asked about the number of takes and how she managed to keep a straight face during the scene, Schumer jokingly replied, "Because he was actually inside me. Who am I to stop him?"
Adding to the humor, Hader quipped, "He didn't understand the whole acting thing.
While Schumer's remarks were in jest, it's important to note that a conventional film production involves various precautions to prevent accidental exposure. It can be assumed that Cena did not actually perform without the necessary precautions.
In the film, Schumer, who has previously dated wrestler Dolph Ziggler, shares a brief scene with Cena, where she requests him to talk dirty to her. Their comedic banter adds to the scene's climactic moments.
Although it raises curiosity, one can only speculate about Nikki Bella's thoughts on Schumer's playful remarks and the media attention surrounding her (common law) husband's scene. Cena previously discussed his failure to inform Bella about the scene during an interview with Fox News, acknowledging that she had every right to be upset. He expressed regret for not discussing it with her from the beginning and praised Schumer's professionalism on set.
