Anne Hathaway, winner of the Berlinale's most daring award

The actress was surprised by changing her outfit twice on the first day of the film festival

Anne Hathaway, winner of the Berlinale's most daring award

A 73rd edition that, in addition to having Kristen Stewart as president of the jury, also has such special guests as Anne Hathaway. The actress came to the contest yesterday to present her latest work, She Came to Me, a romantic comedy that kicked off these next ten consecutive days of cinema.

For the occasion, she chose two totally different outfits, one for the day and the other for the night, with which she once again made it clear why her presence on the red carpet is always one of the most anticipated.

The interpreter posed in front of the cameras with one of the key trends in guest looks that designers have set out to rescue. We are talking about dresses with a hood, that silhouette that triumphed in the 90s, and that firms such as Saint Laurent or Alaïa have now included again in their Spring/Summer 2023 collections.

And it is precisely to the latter that the look she was wearing belongs to Anne Hathaway during her arrival at the festival. It is a black midi dress with a fitted skirt and an oversize bodice, which has a pronounced V-neckline and a corseted leather sash detail.

An elegant and sophisticated choice, faithful to the style of the protagonist of The Devil Wears Prada, in which we also find the fun touch that characterizes her outfits. We are talking about the sandals that she wears, the same ones that Irina Shayk was in charge of popularizing a few months ago when she posed with them at a London event.

It is the Alaïa Cabaret model, with an original golden sculptural heel that imitates the shape of legs. And yes, the dress may belong to the Spring/Summer line, but taking into account how cold it is in the German capital, the actress did not hesitate to accompany her choice with thick black stockings.

For the second change of look, she opted for a much more daring dress, returning to the arms of one of her leading firms. To the premiere of her film, she chose to wear a semi-transparent design, the micro-trend popularized by Kate Moss three decades ago and to which celebrities now surrender.

A model belonging to the latest Valentino Haute Couture collection made up of a piece of chiffon printed with small polka dots and adorned with leather bows, which she has worn over a bodysuit. The glamorous touch was provided by matching long gloves and slingback heels, also the work of the Italian house. To devise both outfits, Anne Hathaway once again worked hand-in-hand with her stylist and fairy godmother, Erin Walsh, as it is she who has helped drive the exquisite makeover she has recently applied to her wardrobe.
