The famous Chinese actor revealed the time he lost his role while working on a movie.
At 68 years old, Jackie Chan is unquestionably a legend of action and martial arts cinema. His long career is full of funny anecdotes, like the time he was knocked out by Bruce Lee or the day he inspired "Dragon Ball." But another memory is not the most pleasant for the Chinese actor.
Even though he has always shown himself to be a fun and professional person, the star of "Revenge of the Dragon" and "The Myth" had, a long time ago, a serious altercation on a set that he will never forget.
“Are you crazy?”: an unknown Jackie
In an interview with Shidian Talk, Jackie Chan explained that in the past he was not always respected by everyone, especially when he was shooting an old movie directed by a disrespectful filmmaker.
Chan was working on a film in which the director began making disparaging comments about his parents, something that angered the 2016 Honorary Oscar winner.
“I took a knife and wanted to go and cut the director. I said that he can scold me as much as he wants, but don't insult my mother, ”he recalled.
Jackie, who didn't look like his usual self, was about to do something crazy when Sammo Hung took his hand and talked some sense into him.
Hung is another of the great legends of martial arts cinema and worked with Chan on films such as "Heart of the Dragon", "The Hand of Death" and "The 3 Dragons".
"Sammo grabbed me and said: 'Are you crazy?'" said the singer and comedian of Chinese descent.
