Kate Upton and Jennifer Lawrence Speak Out Against Unauthorized Release of Photos
Kate Upton, known for her provocative photoshoots, is confronting the unwanted exposure of her private images after her phone was hacked. Similar to Jennifer Lawrence, the model's pictures were unlawfully made public, confirmed by her attorney, Lawrence Shire.
Expressing outrage on behalf of his client, Shire stated, "This is obviously an outrageous violation of the privacy of my client, Kate Upton. We intend to pursue whoever has spread and/or duplicated these illegally obtained images."
Buzzfeed reported that Upton and Lawrence are just a few of the many celebrities who fell victim to this hack. The list includes Ariana Grande, Victoria Justice, and Kirsten Dunst.
In response to the breach, Jennifer Lawrence's spokesperson declared, "This is a blatant violation of privacy. Law enforcement has been contacted, and anyone found to have stolen and published the photos will be prosecuted."
Despite the strong statements, the published photos remain available, and the site even claims to possess explicit images of other celebrities like Gabrielle Union, Hayden Panettiere, Hilary Duff, Kaley Cuoco, Lea Michele, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Selena Gomez, among others. The invasion of privacy is a serious concern, and efforts to identify and punish those responsible continue.
