Profile
Miley Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who rose to fame as a child star in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana." Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Miley comes from a family of entertainers, with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, being a renowned country music singer.
At a young age, Miley displayed her passion for performing and gained recognition for her distinctive voice and charisma. However, it was her role as Hannah Montana, a teenage pop sensation leading a double life, that catapulted her into stardom. The show, which aired from 2006 to 2011, became a massive hit among young audiences, and Miley's alter ego became a cultural phenomenon.
As she transitioned into her late teens, Miley began to shed her squeaky-clean Disney image and embraced a more mature and edgy persona. Her debut album, "Meet Miley Cyrus" (2007), showcased her musical talents beyond the confines of her Hannah Montana persona and cemented her status as a successful pop artist.
In 2013, Miley made headlines with her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), during which she twerked and displayed provocative behavior. This marked a significant turning point in her career, as she publicly distanced herself from her previous innocent image. Her subsequent album, "Bangerz" (2013), featured a more experimental sound and was met with both commercial success and critical acclaim.
