The American actress worked on a line of swimsuits for the firm "Khras Swim", and she confessed that she designed the bi--nis to hide the mark of the surgery
The American actress and singer, Selena Gomez, presented this Thursday a collection of bi--nis that she designed to promote the new brand of her best friend, Theresa Mingus.
In a photo session, the former Disney girl wore the clothes that she created for the firm "Krahs Swim". Through social networks, she confessed that she designed her pieces especially to hide the scar that she had after undergoing a kidney transplant.
"I had a great time designing the bi--nis. It was fun. One of the designs I did has a high waist and a belt. I had kidney transplant surgery and I like swimsuits that cover that part and make me feel comfortable," she revealed on Instagram.
Theresa Mingus, the owner of the brand, met Selena Gomez five years ago when she started working for her as her assistant. From that moment they became close, and the actress wanted to support her friend in such an important project.
"I met Theresa five years ago. We worked together and became best friends. She has taught me how to view life in a fun, carefree, and uplifting way. She has shown me how to be a strong and fearless woman. She is beautiful, kind, and smart. I saw that he was capable of achieving his dreams. I just want to see you chase them and fly. And here you are, making it happen. I love you and I'm so proud of you," Selena Gomez wrote on her Instagram account this week, two days before the launch of the collection.
As Theresa Mingus explained, the firm is inspired by the desire to create swimwear that suits women of all shapes and sizes. The actress's line, "Selena x Khras Swim," includes a one-piece swimsuit, high-waisted panties, and plunging high tops.
"Every woman wants to feel comfortable and pretty," the businesswoman told Selena Gomez when she revealed that she prefers to cover her scar.
Since the beginning of 2019, Selena Gomez has been working on one project after another. In October of last year, the doctors informed the actress that the level of white blood cells in her blood was alarming, a consequence of the lupus that she suffers from.
The harsh news, which came just months after she underwent a kidney transplant for her autoimmune disease, left her in a state of anxiety and depression. Her emotional situation declined to such an extent that the actress decided to enter a psychiatric hospital.
Everything changed with the entry of the new year, which was already advancing and there would be many projects for her. Her fans were overjoyed when Selena Gomez reappeared on Instagram with some photos on the beach. Shortly before, she had released the hit "Anxiety" with the singer Julia Michaels, in which she talked about the difficulties she had gone through in recent months.
Works with Puma and Loreal, songs in collaboration with J Balvin, a concert at Coachella, and her role in the movie "The Dead Don't Die", which will hit theaters in June, show that Selena Gomez is back unstoppable.
