Gal Gadot will once again participate in a musical film and had to strengthen her musical skills
Gal Gadot, the 38-year-old Israeli actress, finds herself facing a new challenge in her prolific career, as she will have to play the Evil Queen, the villain of the children's classic Snow White.
Beyond having been nothing less than Wonder Woman, in the Fast and Furious saga and even in the most-watched movie in Netflix history, she is far from resting on her laurels. Proof of this is the time she took to prepare for the casting of this new Disney movie.
Gal spent no less than an entire month preparing her audition for the role of the Evil Queen. This was explained by the actress herself in a video published by GQ. "It was the first time I had to audition for a new project. They had to make sure I could sing because it's a musical. So I took a month to work on the song. When I took the role it was really exciting."
The film has among its main attractions a great soundtrack with songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, winners of both Oscar and Tony Awards, for the songs in the movie La La Land. In addition, they worked on another Disney remake: Aladdin.
"It was really a lot because it's totally different from what I've done," completed the actress. "It's so cute and it's so enjoyable that I can express myself like that." Let's remember that Gal Gadot is presenting her new film, Heart of Stone, an action film that has little to do with the Disney remake, although it does demonstrate the versatility of the actress.
It will be the second time that Gadot has participated in a mouse company musical since she did it in the song Imagine, which came out in Ralph Breaks the Internet, a story that broke her in theaters. She will share the cast with Rachel Zegler, while the direction will be in charge of Marc Webb, with a script co-written by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson.
