Sandra Bullock kept her partner's illness a secret and dedicated all her time and effort to be by her side until the last moment.
In recent days, the entertainment world was shocked by the news of the death of Bryan Randall, the model, and photographer who was in a relationship with Sandra Bullock.
Upon learning of his death, it was revealed that the actress's boyfriend suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the same disease that scientist Stephen Hawking suffered from.
The prognosis had been revealed to Sandra Bullock's partner three years ago, however, both Bryan and those close to him decided to keep it a secret and go through the inevitable process in the privacy of their home and their closest circle.
"Bryan chose from the beginning to keep his ALS illness private, and those of us who care for him did everything possible to respect his request," said the statement from Randall's family, announcing his death.
Last year, Sandra Bullock announced that she was taking an indefinite retirement from acting, as she needs a break and to spend more time with her family. Back then, Bryan Randall was already going through the disease.
The actress's sister referred to the death of her brother-in-law and highlighted the figure of the protagonist of Máxima Velocidad and how she dedicated all her time to taking care of her partner.
“AMS is a cruel disease, but I take comfort in knowing that my amazing sister and the group of nurses she assembled to care for him in her home were the best caregivers for her. Rest in peace, Bryan", could be read on Gesine Bullock-Prado's social networks.
Others who thanked the professionals for their care were Bryan's family members: “We are immensely grateful to the tireless physicians who navigated the landscape of this disease with us and the amazing nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours.”
At the moment, Sandra Bullock has not made any statement about the loss of Bryan, but she notes that she dedicated the last few years to accompanying her partner and taking care of him until the last minute.
