Both Sienna Miller and Ben Affleck are two very talented and professional actors, and yet that didn't stop the actress from breaking down in tears after filming a romantic scene with the actor.
If there is an actress with a lot of versatility, it is Sienna Miller, who has participated in a large number of films and television series such as Alfie, G.I. Joe, American Sniper, and Anatomy of a Sc@nd@l, among many other titles. And the same could be said of Ben Affleck, who has served as an actor and director in various projects such as Argo, Gone Girl, Batman, and Good Will Hunting, among others.
And there was an occasion in which both actors coincided. This is Live by Night, a film that premiered in 2016 and was directed, produced, written, and starring Ben Affleck. In addition, it had the performances of Sienna Miller, Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson, Zoe Saldaña, and Chris Messina, among others.
Based on Dennis Lehane's novel of the same name, Live by Night follows the story of Joe Coughlin, a gangster who smuggled alcohol during Prohibition in the United States in the 1920s. Joe leads him to steal a mob boss's money and mistress, sparking a war he op.
It goes without saying that Ben Affleck was placed in the shoes of the protagonist, Joe Coughlin, while Sienna Miller was in charge of giving life to Emma Gould, the mobster's lover. In this way, the actors had to share several scenes together, as they also had to film some romantic scenes and according to Miller's words, he did not have a good time.
Some time ago, the 40-year-old actress revealed that filming the scenes with Jennifer Lopez's husband was not easy because they had no chemistry as a couple. “Ben Affleck is like my brother. I have never laughed so much in my entire life,” revealed the actress. “We couldn't be less attracted to each other, which doesn't sound so great when you're supposed to be playing lovers. We had zero chemistry” she finished.
However, although the relationship between the actors was very good, the truth is that the lack of chemistry was not what bothered the actress. Although there was no awkwardness between them when it came to filming romantic scenes, there was one occasion where they had to spend nine hours straight filming one. Which caused a lot of anguish for Miller.
“I read the script and it seemed like we were doing it everywhere, in the car, in the bar, and I thought: This is a whole day shooting love scenes!” the interpreter recalled. And she recalled that one of those scenes in particular went on so long and she was forced to leave the set several times because she couldn't stop crying. “After nine hours, I was left crying and shaking,” she revealed.
"Having to be N- and roll around on top of your co-star while twenty people are standing there looking at her watch and wondering when it's lunchtime is so weird," she commented. But still, she added that sometimes you have to get over it and move on because it's some of the demands that she has in a job like acting.
Even so, another reason that bothered Sienna Miller when recording this romantic scene with Ben Affleck was that the actor and director ordered the cameramen to leave the cameras recording throughout the scene, so as not to lose material. This greatly upset the actress, who could not oppose it.
