Meghan Markle's life changed radically when she married Prince Harry, so Michelle Obama wanted to give her woman-to-woman advice.
After Meghan Markle was singled out by the English press for having a difficult character that would have led her to have problems with her sister-in-law, Duchess Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama had a few words for her.
There is no doubt that if anyone knows how life can change overnight, it is the former first lady of the United States, so she felt sympathy for Markle and wanted to give her some advice.
“My biggest piece of advice would be to take your time and don't rush things. "I spent the first few months in the White House worrying about my daughters, making sure they got off to a good start in school and making friends, before I launched into more ambitious work," Michelle told Good Housekeeping magazine.
Obama expressed that Meghan Markle most likely never dreamed that her life would be part of the British monarchy since it is not a simple situation. “The pressure you feel, from yourself and from others, can be very strong,” she noted.
She also advised her to select projects that really fit her personality, maximize her impact on others, and not compromise her happiness.
"There are many opportunities to do good from a platform like yours," Obama said of Meghan Markle's position as Prince Harry's wife, although she advised him not to rush and select her projects well.
