Elton John suffered an accident while at his house in the south of France and had to be taken to hospital.
Elton John has given his fans a scare after being rushed to hospital over the weekend. On Sunday, the 76-year-old British singer was rushed to a medical center in Monaco after suffering an accident at his home in Nice, France.
The artist's representative confirmed that Elton had to be treated on Sunday after suffering a fall at his home in the south of France. After undergoing the relevant check-ups, the musician was discharged on Monday morning and is back at his house.
Elton John and her husband David Furnish have been spending the summer months on the French Riviera with her two children after the singer wrapped up the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in early July.
"I've had the most wonderful career, beyond belief. Fifty-two years of pure joy playing music. How lucky am I to play music," the 'Rocket Man' singer said during his last show in Stockholm.
"But, you know, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you if it wasn't for you. They bought the singles, the albums, the CDs, the cassettes, but more importantly, they bought the tickets to the shows and they know I love playing alive", closed Elton John, thanking his fans.
His last tour meant a farewell to the stage for the versatile singer who has delighted several generations with his music. However, the Grammy winner doesn't rule out releasing new music in the future.
