Teigen, 37, and Legend, 44, have kept the news of their fourth baby a total secret until now. The couple just revealed that they have welcomed a baby boy just five months after the birth of their third daughter. Chrissy shared the happy news and all the details in an emotional post that gave us goosebumps.
The couple welcomed the latest member of their family, baby Wren Alexander Stevens, via surrogacy, on Monday, June 19. The 37-year-old model pointed out that the name is a special nod to the woman who carried her son, Alexandra.
Chrissy shared the first photos of her baby with her more than 42 million followers on Instagram. She also posted a lengthy message in which she detailed the surrogacy process and recounted the moving experience of watching Alexandra, “the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate,” bring her child into the world.
The couple, who have a 7-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, had welcomed their third child, Esti Maxine, in January of this year.
Teigen revealed in her post that she “wanted to have four kids” since she was little, which means her lifelong dream has finally come true.
Although they are now a perfect family, this couple's path has been very hard at times. In fact, two years ago, they lost their son Jack at 20 weeks pregnant.
And in her post, Teigen made sure to pay tribute to her beloved Jack, noting, ''Our hearts and our house are officially full. And for our Jack, we know that his two angel kisses are from you.
She went on to explain that, after Jack, she didn't think she was "able to make any more babies." However, after some time and therapy, she told John that she wanted to “try to gestate on my own one more time.” So she started the IVF process again and she became pregnant with Esti.
And it's interesting to note that Chrissy had the chance to be pregnant alongside Alexandra for a while, given that there are only five months apart between Esti and Wren.
Despite being an incredible mother, Chrissy had already been criticized online and even mother-shamed. However, she handled the situation as intelligently as possible.
