The jury unanimously rejected the case by ruling that Reeves was not responsible for the alleged injuries of photographer Alison Silva in an incident that occurred in March 2007 and that he had already acquitted the actor in a judicial proceeding in Los Angeles.

"It's an unfortunate case that never had to be filed. It took a lot of time and energy," the Hollywood star's lawyer, Alfred W. Gerisch, said after leaving the court where Revees was attending.

Silva accepted the jury's verdict and Reeves, 44, left the court building without speaking to the press.

The jury listened to Silva's testimony for four days and watched videos presented by Reeves' defense that exposed the photographer's contradictions.

According to Silva's lawyer, the photographer suffered a permanent injury from the alleged accident, which would have occurred in March 2007 in the southwest of the American megalopolis, in California (west).

The paparazzi's attorney asked the jury to order Reeves to pay his client $640,800 to cover damages, medical bills, and money he had missed earning.

The trial against the protagonist of the "Matrix" trilogy opened last Monday. A day later, the 44-year-old actor denied having collided with the photographer with his car and stated that Silva fell alone while walking backward.
