Black Mirror finally returns to Netflix for its long-awaited sixth season and Mexican actress Salma Hayek will be part of the new installment of the series. Hayek is surprised by her shocking physical change since she looks unrecognizable in the first images that were known from the series.
In the new trailer that was released on Wednesday, it was revealed that Salma stars in the episode called "Joan is Awful." The actress plays herself as the Hollywood superstar that she is but with a Black Mirror-style twist.
"An average woman is surprised to discover that a global streaming platform has launched a prestigious television drama adaptation of her life, in which she is played by Salma Hayek," indicates the synopsis of the episode starring the Mexican actress.
The episode, which also stars Ben Barnes, Rob Delaney, and Michael Cera, shows the woman played by Annie Murphy and Salma Hayek sporting identical hair, with notable bleached blonde bangs. In the episode, Annie's character is baffled by how the streaming platform has taken over her life, as she realizes that the world now knows every bad decision she has made.
Black Mirror is an anthology series that typically features dystopian, disturbing, or downright creepy themes. “Expect the unexpected.
