However, the actor did not always make the best decisions and regrets having rejected a romantic film in which he could have worked with his ex-wife Demi Moore.

Bruce Willis was the initial choice for the role of Sam Wheat, which ultimately went to Patrick Swayze. In a 2007 interview, Willis revealed why he turned down the role. According to the actor, when reading the script he could not understand how a romance between a ghost and a real person would work, which led him to reject the film.
Willis later regretted it because he missed the opportunity to work with Demi Moore, to whom he was married from 1987 to 2000. Furthermore, his doubts were also dispelled because he loved the film.
“I wish I hadn't turned down the role that Patrick Swayze eventually played in Ghost. He just couldn't see how a romance between a ghost and a living person would work. It would have also been nice to have worked with Demi again. “I liked that movie,” the Die Hard actor said in that 2007 interview.
Willis also revealed that he turned down the role of Terry Benedict in Ocean's 11, which was later played by Andy Garcia in the final cut.
