Hugh Jackman announced with his partner that their marriage of more than 27 years has come to an end.
Hugh Jackman, the 54-year-old Australian-born actor, has just announced that he has separated from his wife Deborra-lee Furness. The sad news was announced on his social networks, where he seemed convinced but hurt.
The couple of actors, both from the country of Oceania, met in 1995 and married a year later, making them 27 years of marriage. They had two children and had great times together.
"We have been blessed to share almost three decades together, as husband and wife, on an incredible journey of love. Our journey is now mutating and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth," the actor shared.
In April of this year, they celebrated the 27th anniversary of this union, sharing a post on Instagram where Jackman wrote: "I love you, Deb. Today is our 27th anniversary. 27 years! Together we have created an incredible family, and a life too "Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, tenderness, courage, and loyalty is an incredible gift to me."
"Our family has always been our priority," the statement they shared continues. "We take on this new chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We appreciate your understanding and respecting our privacy as our family navigates this." Thus, they closed the note with what they claim will be the only statement they will make in this regard.
The couple had donated around a million dollars to SAG-AFTRA, to support the cause. They dedicated themselves to supporting different causes while building their careers separately. Both actors never shared a film, although they did share 10 episodes of Corelli.
The X-Men star then has to dedicate himself fully to his role as Logan in the new Deadpool movie, a film full of humor in which one never rules out any type of joke. His now ex-wife, however, will star in Force of Nature, alongside Eric Bana.
