Angelina Jolie revealed that I feel small and insecure

Angelina Jolie, amidst the premiere and promotion of her film, has been granting interviews where she delves into not only her work but her personal experiences.

Angelina Jolie revealed that I feel small and insecure

Accompanied by five of her six children at the premiere, as Maddox is pursuing his education in Korea, she candidly expressed, "There are moments in my life when I've concealed myself, felt small and insecure, burdened by pain, and trapped. Rediscovering myself has been a formidable challenge, perhaps more so now than in the past four years," shared Jolie in a conversation with the Magazine. She also revealed during her film's promotional activities that she felt compelled to marry Brad Pitt.

Angelina Jolie has weathered a tumultuous few years, marked by a double mastectomy in 2013 to mitigate her risk of developing breast cancer and the removal of her ovaries in 2015. In addition to these medical challenges, her marriage to Brad Pitt dissolved in 2016, ushering in one of Hollywood's most complex separations, which remains unresolved. However, Jolie is resolute in her quest to rediscover herself and triumph over her past trials.

Once the envy of Hollywood, the union of Jolie and Pitt was shattered three years ago when she initiated divorce proceedings against her husband. In April, a judge granted them the status of being "single" again, while the legal proceedings continue. This development is known as the "bifurcation of marital status," allowing Jolie, at 43, and Pitt, at 55, to consider themselves single, even as their divorce process remains ongoing.

In recent months, Jolie has wholeheartedly embraced a feminist narrative. She authored an essay in Elle magazine in August, advocating for the rise of more "fearless women" in the world. According to her, these women are "those who are weary of injustice and mistreatment, those who defy norms and systems that do not align with their convictions or the welfare of their families. Women who steadfastly hold onto their voices and rights, even in the face of potential danger, incarceration, or rejection from their communities and families. The world, she insists, requires these fearless women."

This isn't the first time Angelina Jolie has taken a direct approach in addressing women's issues. In 2013, she penned a letter for The New York Times, revealing her decision to undergo a double mastectomy and emphasizing her choice to make it public in the hopes of inspiring other women facing a similar dilemma. At 37 years old at the time, Jolie asserted, "I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to undergo a mastectomy is not an easy one, but I am profoundly content with my choice, and it in no way diminishes my femininity...For all the women reading this, I only hope it aids in your understanding of the options available to you."
