Actor Brad Pitt ruled out that he is going to retire from acting and specified that his statements about a possible retirement were misinterpreted.
When a few weeks ago Brad Pitt claimed to be in the "last leg" of his acting career, he was not exactly referring to his departure from the film industry, in which he has shone for more than 20 years. He alluded, rather, that he would take things more slowly.
In a recent conversation with the press in France, the Hollywood star indicated that he does not plan to throw in the towel yet and affirmed that his statements were misinterpreted. Well, Brad Pitt said that he wants to "take cinema and life in sips."
"It seems that it was interpreted as a declaration of retirement. But that's not what I meant. What I wanted to say is that I'm already facing the last stretch, the last season. And the question is: how do I want to spend that time? But in no way case is a withdrawal," said the 58-year-old interpreter.
On the contrary, new projects appear in Brad Pitt's already extensive filmography, such as the films "Babylon", in which he will co-star with Margot Robbie, and "Bullet Train", in which he shares roles with Joey King, Bad Bunny, and several more.
Brad Pitt as producer
On the other hand, it is also very likely that Brad Pitt's future will be increasingly linked to film production, something he has been doing for nearly twenty years since he founded Plan B Entertainment, with which he has produced films such as "Troy", in which he acted, or the Oscar winners "12 Years a Slave" or "Moonlight."
He is also behind "Blonde", a film with Ana de Armas that premieres in September on Netflix, about the life of Marilyn Monroe; and he has been working on "Women Talking", an adaptation of the novel of the same name, by Miriam Toews.
“It is a film as profound as any other that has been made in this decade,” Brad Pitt commented to GQ magazine, which last June dedicated a special issue to it under the pen of writer Ottessa Moshfegh.
What did his friends say about Brad Pitt?
For her article on Brad Pitt, Ottessa Moshfegh also spoke with friends of the actor, such as Flea, the bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or director Quentin Tarantino, for whose film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", Pitt won the Oscar for best-supporting actor.
“When Brad loses himself in the process of creation, there is something magical. It's like this thing that ignites something inside a human being that empowers them and opens them up,” Flea said.
Meanwhile, Quentin Tarantino explained that he “is one of the last movie stars left on the big screen… a different breed of man. And, frankly, I don't think you can describe exactly what that is, because it's like describing the brightness of the stars."
