Bruce Willis no longer recognizes his mother and has aggressive behavior

It was in March 2022 when it was announced that Bruce Willis suffers from a degenerative disease known as frontotemporal dementia. For that reason, he made the decision to retire from the artistic medium.

Bruce Willis no longer recognizes his mother and has aggressive behavior

Bruce Willis' family recently revealed that the actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and that his health condition worsened to the point that he no longer recognizes his mother and that he exhibits aggressive behavior. This was indicated by Wilfried Gliem, a German actor who claims to be the uncle-in-law of the protagonist of Die Hard.

"She (Marlene Willis, Bruce's mother) says that she is not sure that her son recognizes her, that his behavior is slow and a little aggressive," Gliem told Bild magazine. "A conversation with him is not possible, but that is something common due to his clinical condition," he added.

In that same interview, Wilfried maintained that Willis' daughters "stay strong" and that they have been with him since day one. "Scout and Tallulah are two girls who remain very strong and are now there for his father, just like he used to be there for them," he said.

After his diagnosis, Bruce Willis decided to sell his properties and dedicate all his time to his family. There were even rumors that his ex-wife, Demi Moore, had moved in with him to take care of him "until the end" regardless of being in the same space as his current partner, Emma Heming.

Bruce Willis' wife's request to the paparazzi

Due to his condition, Bruce Willis spends his days away from the media spotlight and caring for his wife Emma Heming, and his daughters. The paparazzi, however, continue to seek to get closer to the actor, which is why his partner decided to ask them to stop their harassment through social networks.

From her Instagram account, which has more than 600,000 followers, the 44-year-old former model shared a video asking photographers and cameramen to "keep their distance" after they tried to approach Willis while he was having a coffee with some friends in Santa Monica (Californa, USA).

"If you're someone who cares for someone with dementia, you know how difficult and stressful it can be to get someone out there and help them move around safely, even if it's just to get a coffee," Emma Heming said. "It is clear that we need to use all the education possible. So this goes to the photographers and videographers who are trying to get exclusives from my husband everywhere. Keep your distance," she added.

Bruce Willis' wife admitted that she knows that this is "his job" from her, however, she asked them to try to "stay at a certain distance." "Please don't yell at my husband asking him what he's doing or whatever. The 'eeeooo' and the 'yihaaa'... don't do it. Give him his space. Let our family, or whoever is with him that day, they can take you from one place to another safely," he stressed.
