Gwyneth Paltrow hinted that she would be considering saying goodbye to the industry when she turns 55 (2027).
Although she has not yet defined it, she assured that the possibility of getting away from the public eye makes her very excited since it would give her time to focus on other types of projects.
For many actors, overexposure is one of the reasons why they wish they had followed another career path or what would lead them to make the decision to retire prematurely. One of the figures who would be within this second group is Gwyneth Paltrow, who has already announced that by 2027 she could say goodbye to the industry.
"She may disappear and no one will ever see me again," she said, speaking to Bustle, when asked about the possibility of retiring before reaching 70.
For the Oscar-winning actress, doing it for her 55th birthday would not be such a crazy idea: "I would be happy with that... I will literally disappear from public life. No one will ever see me again."
Although for Gwyneth Paltrow the exposure is more than enough reason to think about retirement, she recognizes that it would be difficult for her to stop working in the industry and that, surely, she would continue looking for a project where she would feel useful.
"I am happy creating, collaborating, being impacted with new ideas, innovating; and thinking with strategy and vision," she revealed.
In addition to talking about his retirement, he referred to the term nepo baby, which he harshly criticized: "There is nothing wrong with doing or wanting to do what your parents do. Nobody criticizes a child who says: 'I want to be a doctor like my father and my grandfather.' The truth is that if you grow up in a house with many artists and people dedicating themselves to art and music, that is what you absorb, in the same way that if you grow up in a house with laws, the topics that are discussed around the table will be about it.
And she, she added: "I think it's a very ugly nickname. I just hope that my children always feel free to pursue exactly what they want to do, regardless of what anyone is going to think or say."
