Gwyneth Paltrow opens up about her strange trial after being sued for a skiing accident

At the end of March 2023, Gwyneth Paltrow captured all the attention of the media for a week during a trial held in Utah after being sued by Terry Sanderson, with whom she suffered a skiing accident in 2016.

Now, the actress has reflected on what she experienced these days in an interview for the New York Times. One of the aspects that caught the most attention for many was the styling that Paltrow chose for the different sessions where she appeared very sober but elegant with a style called quiet luxury.

"I dressed to live a pretty intense experience every day," explains Gwyneth when asked about how much comment the choice of her looks was.

"The result of the outfit was very strange to me," she says. Then she added: "This was all quite strange. I don't even know if I've processed it."

The experience marked the interpreter who explains that she felt as if she "had survived" what had happened: "Sometimes, in my life, it takes me a long time to look back, process something, and understand it."

The complainant, Terry Sanderson, accused Gwyneth Paltrow of having left him with "brain damage and 4 broken ribs" while skiing at the Deer Valley Resort in Utah: "I was skiing when I heard a hysterical scream and suddenly I was hit from behind. That's everything I remember," Sanderson declared.

"Gwyneth Paltrow skied out of control," the complainant's lawyers claimed during the trial.

For her part, Paltrow filed a countersuit in which she alleged that it was actually Sanderson who hit her with a "full body blow."

While the plaintiff sought compensation of $300,000, Paltrow's lawyer only filed a counterclaim for $1 due to "damages caused."

Finally, the final sentence considered the actress not guilty and the jury deliberated that Sanderson was "100%" at fault and that he would have to pay one dollar to the actress.
