Hilary Swank explains the painful reason she walked away from Hollywood

The actress already made public the delicate health of her father after a lung transplant, now she returns with a new series and has spoken about her return and the reason for her long hiatus.

Actress Hilary Swank, Oscar winner for playing the tormented transs-xual Brandon Teena in 'Boys Don't Cry' and later for 'Million Dollar Baby', has spoken with Health magazine and has confessed that on the one hand, putting her career in Waiting was obvious, because he had to help his father recover from his lung transplant.

"It was supposed to be a year, because it takes a year to see if an organ transplant works. A lung transplant is the most difficult of all, since it is an incredibly delicate organ," she explained. "I became my father's health advocate. One year quickly turned into two, then three."

"And, thank God, prayers were answered. He is healthy and doing very well five years later," said Hilary. She admitted it's a lot to take on: "It takes a lot of energy, love and dedication to the matter at hand." The ups and downs are very challenging and can be overwhelming," she noted. "You have to make sure you take time for yourself and express your needs to the people around you for help and support."

Exercise is another way for the star to disconnect. "It's a stress reliever. It helps me sleep better. I couldn't live without exercising. For me, it's like the air I breathe or the food I eat," she added.

Now Netflix has sent Hilary Swank to Mars in the new sci-fi series 'Away', and the actress has admitted that playing an astronaut is like a dream come true.

"Before I was an actress, I wanted to be an astronaut. She had so much passion and respect for astronauts and people who explore something that is much bigger than all of us," we will soon be able to see her again after this 5-year hiatus as an American astronaut , Emma Green (Swank), on an epic science-fiction journey in which she must leave her home and family behind to embark on a dangerous mission to Mars.
