Joe Jonas' demand for Sophie Turner in the middle of the divorce

Singer Joe Jonas was seen leaving his first mediation session with his ex-wife Sophie Turner. The Jonas Brothers member was caught leaving the meeting in New York after two hours of discussion with a mediator present.

Jonas seemed a little dejected as he sat in the back seat of a black van. As the 34-year-old man attempted to quietly sneak out of the building, Turner was seen leaving through the front entrance. Like her ex-husband, the Game of Thrones star seemed exhausted after a long day going over the details of the divorce and his parenting plans for her two daughters.

The 27-year-old kept her long hair down and opted for minimal makeup. Earlier in the day, the mother of two was seen leaving Taylor Swift's luxurious Tribeca apartment, where she and her two daughters were staying along with her lawyer.

Her lawyer accompanied Turner when she left the New York office building around 6 p.m. The mother of two dressed casually for the long day. This is the first day of the four-day mediation for the separated couple, who seek to move forward with the divorce on the best terms.

Joe is firmly dedicated to ensuring the success of the mediation with Sophie. He expresses a strong willingness to cooperate as long as they can achieve a fair agreement concerning their children, as conveyed by sources within the singer's team.

Earlier this week, their legal representatives convened for a pretrial conference during which both parties decided to allocate time for discussions on their primary concerns. These discussions encompassed plans for the custody of their two daughters: 3-year-old Willa and 1-year-old Delphine.

The couple has been embroiled in a contentious dispute for the past month since Jonas initiated divorce proceedings against the English actress. Shortly after Jonas filed the divorce paperwork, Turner took legal action against her ex-husband, seeking the return of their daughters to her "permanent residence" in England.

Turner claimed that Jonas had refused to surrender the girls' passports, impeding her from bringing them back to their agreed-upon home country, where they had originally intended to raise their children before their separation. Jonas filed for divorce from Turner last month, culminating in the end of their nearly four-year marriage. As part of their estrangement agreement, the couple decided to keep their daughters in New York until their custody battle was resolved.

Now that they are no longer together, Jonas is demanding "50-50" joint custody, which would likely mean their daughters would spend more time on American soil than Turner had originally planned. During Tuesday's meeting, the judge also set the trial for January 2.
