Miley Cyrus took advantage of the moment to leave an inspiring message to the audience and even joked about the embarrassing situation.
We all have embarrassing moments, whether we are true strangers or planetary stars. Some of them can cause a lot of problems for those who are involved in them, due to the delicacy of the situation in which they can occur. Miley Cyrus has to say, she found herself in a more complicated position, due to an accident with one of her clothes.
It all happened during the show she put on for New Year's Eve: she was performing live in front of millions of people when she lost her top half of her clothes. It all happened during her show “Mileys New Year’s Eve Party”, which was being broadcast live on NBC, to the entire population of the United States. While Cyrus performed the song “Party In The USA” — one of her most famous songs, and which marks the beginning of the end of her Hannah Montana era — one of the straps on her top broke.
Upon immediately noticing the situation, the singer tried to hold the piece made of metal mesh with her hands. However, she quickly understood that this was nothing more than a temporary measure. Then, without stopping the concert, she turned her back to the camera, threw her top on the floor, and left the stage — without stopping singing.
Minutes later, the singer returned to the stage wearing a red coat and, at the end of the night, turned that embarrassing moment into a wise lesson. “Tonight’s show was about being flexible, rolling with the punches, and making the best of situations — even in the worst circumstances. This resilience should not stop here. Let’s bring that into the New Year with us.”
The singer further added: “We have all learned to expect the unexpected and, instead of seeing it as a problem, let's see it as an opportunity. I wish all of you here in Miami and everyone watching at home a happy and healthy 2022. Thank you for making this night possible. You were truly everything I needed for this party.”
On Instagram, the singer also decided to joke about the situation. Through a publication, Miley Cyrus shared a photo of the look and wrote: “the top that didn’t stay on for long.”
