The actress Emma Watson refused to shoot a scene in the film.
The film 'This is the end' showed a group of actors playing themselves trying to survive in the apocalypse at James Franco's house. Now Seth Rogen, who made his directorial debut alongside Evan Goldberg, has explained the incident he had with Emma Watson.
In an interview for the British edition of GQ, Rogen confirmed that mishap that had been rumored for a long time and that involved the actress from the Harry Potter saga. It seems that he was not very agreeable to filming a scene, so he left the set after refusing to be part of that moment.
As we said, the movie was about six Los Angeles celebrities who were trapped in Franco's house after the apocalypse. At the end of the film, Danny McBride was presented as the cannibal and the actor Channing Tatum also played himself, but being a slave of the former, tied on all fours and wearing a leather mask. That was the moment the actress refused to film. Her appearance consisted of her arriving at Franco's house, the boys took her in but finally due to different mishaps, 'Hermione' ended up robbing them, as McBride's character said.
The film was co-written by Rogen and Goldberg, following 'Supersalidos' in 2007 and 'Superfumados' a year later. As the director has confirmed, the incident is true Rogen, but there are no hard feelings.
"I don't look back and think, 'How dare he do that?' You know, I think sometimes when you read something, when it's about life, it doesn't seem to be what you thought it was," Rogen commented. "But it wasn't a terrible end to our relationship. He came back the next day to say goodbye. He helped promote the movie. No hard feelings and I couldn't be happier with the end result of the movie."
In addition, the scene changed thanks to Watson's objections. "He was probably right. It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it," Rogen commented.
