A Decade of Synchronized Artistry, Marta Hazas and Javier Veiga in Real and Reel Life

Describing their seamless coordination as a result of what many term "chemistry," the acting duo attributes it to a decade of shared experiences. This dynamic couple, whose professional and personal lives intertwine effortlessly, navigates interviews with a synchronized rhythm, anticipating each other's responses even without explicit prompts.

Their collaborative journey began approximately 10 years ago on the set of the film "Muertos de amor" (2012), directed by Mikel Aguirresarobe. Since then, they have been virtually inseparable, engaging in various projects such as "5 and... action," co-founding the production company Medio Limón, and, most recently, collaborating on the series "Little Coincidences," which premiered its third and final season on Amazon Prime Video.

With the conclusion of this professional chapter, Veiga expresses its significance as the pinnacle of his career. Serving as the writer, director, and protagonist of this Amazon series, he acknowledges the substantial effort invested in this endeavor.

Hazas, the series' lead actress, shares a sense of pride in her husband's multifaceted role, emphasizing the magnitude of creating the first Spanish series for Amazon. Reflecting on the initial rejection of their concept titled "Find me," she humorously flips through a meticulously crafted dossier that eventually won the platform over. "How can someone say no to Javi with how worked this is?" she jests, relieved that their persistence eventually paid off.

In 2018, they unveiled a comedy portraying the intricate love story of characters contemplating parenthood later in life. In interviews, questions about their real-life intentions regarding parenthood have been inevitable. Veiga, at 43, and Hazas, approaching 48, unequivocally assert that they have chosen not to have children.

Hazas expresses contentment with their chosen path, emphasizing, "I am doing what I want to do and what makes me happy. I don't want to spend my 40s and 50s raising children." Veiga, while acknowledging the potential appeal of fatherhood in an alternate life, recognizes the decision as a significant undertaking.

Amidst promotional challenges that test their knowledge of each other, the couple reveals the lighthearted side of their relationship. Veiga confesses to occasional forgetfulness, even missing their anniversary date, but notes the unaltered nature of their bond since their wedding in 2016.

Despite societal expectations, they believe that marriage hasn't fundamentally altered their relationship, with Hazas emphasizing their continued individual growth and evolving interests.

Balancing work and personal life effortlessly, the couple takes pride in their ability to compartmentalize roles on set, preventing workplace issues from affecting their home life. Although occasional disagreements arise, they maintain a professional demeanor during filming, finding humor in navigating love scenes with each other. Their natural on-screen chemistry, they assert, is a product of accumulated experience and a shared understanding developed over the years.
