Details of the marijuana party at Meghan Markle's first wedding with her ex-husband in Jamaica are revealed

During the celebration of Meghan Markle's first marriage to Trevor Engelson, attendees were given marijuana, as reported by The Sun newspaper.

The Duchess personally chose the type of gift bags in which, among other gifts, was marijuana, which was given to the guests at her wedding in Jamaica. In her emails to her friends she joked about the unexpected surprise they would have.

Thomas Markle, Meghan's father, was the one who leaked the emails that tell how Prince Harry's wife planned "surprise gifts" for her guests.

According to The Sun, some witnesses even saw the duchess rolling a marijuana cigarette. Apparently, at the time of the wedding, which took place in 2012, marijuana was illegal in Jamaica.

Some attendees described the wedding as a big party, an "epic weekend under the sun and stars."

Another attendee said that Meghan and her ex-husband bought the marijuana through a member of the hotel staff. Also that the duchess was "very excited" with the surprise she would give to her friends.

"Trevor and her friends definitely had more experience with that stuff. I think she's more of a champagne and roses type of girl. It almost seemed like she didn't know how to smoke," said one wedding guest.

Another added: "It was a wedding in Jamaica, so they thought it would be appropriate and fun to give away marijuana. She thought she would make the occasion memorable."

The plan was to buy a good amount of marijuana to distribute among the guests, about 200 cigarettes with weed, which would be delivered inside a gift bag that would be in the rooms of the attendees.

The wedding celebration lasted four days and about 100 people were invited to the Jamaica Inn hotel in Ocho Ríos.
