The release of Omid Scobie's latest book, "Endgame," poses a potential threat to the delicate relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles III, according to a preview published by People magazine.

New Book 'Endgame' Threatens Prince Harry's Tenuous Relationship with King Charles III

The book sheds light on the slim chances of reconciliation between the brothers and unveils details that could further strain their already fragile bond.

In the preview shared by People magazine, it is disclosed that the Sussexes were unaware of Buckingham Palace's detailed plans for the final hours of Queen Elizabeth's life and the subsequent transition of the monarchy until Harry received a call from an unknown number.

"The Sussexes had no idea that Buckingham Palace was already planning the Queen's final hours and the first days of the monarchy's new era until the Duke's phone started ringing from an unknown number. Generally, he ignored them," the book states.

Meghan Markle instructed her husband, Prince Harry, to answer the call, revealing that it was his father, King Charles III, on the line.

"Harry had not spoken much to his father that year. But this was not the time for tensions between father and son. Charles told him that he and Camilla were about to leave Dumfries House for Balmoral, where Princess Anne was already nearby. He told Harry to head to Scotland immediately," the author wrote.

Harry reached out to his brother, William, via text, inquiring about their travel plans to Scotland and the possibility of traveling together. However, he received no response from William, according to Scobie.

Later, Harry discovered that he would be flying with his uncles, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, without prior notification.

Scobie's book suggests a significant rift between the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales, asserting that the fracture is so severe that there is no hope for reconciliation. Despite almost a year passing since Prince Harry's memoir, Scobie reports that the feelings of alienation from his family remain unchanged.

An excerpt from the book recounts how Harry had to travel alone to Balmoral on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's death, following Charles's instruction not to bring Meghan. While Charles claimed Kate wouldn't be present due to protocol, the reality was that Kate chose to stay and attend to her children's first day at a new school.

A former Palace aide revealed, "They just didn't want Meghan there," leaving the Duchess of Sussex feeling unloved, as conveyed by a close friend.
