According to statements collected by the British newspaper The Independent, Kidman continued to live in her real life in her role and that she only responded to the name Masha. "She was crazy," she joked.

Actress Nicole Kidman shared insights into her portrayal of Masha in the series "Nine Perfect Strangers" during a Television Critics Association panel. Describing her character's approach, Kidman explained, "I wanted a very calm healing energy to emanate all the time, so I remember she would bring me up to people and put my hand on their heart."

Kidman revealed that she, as Masha, would hold her hand, and while people addressed her as Nicole, she deliberately ignored them. This unconventional method allowed her to connect genuinely with others without feeling like she was putting on a performance.

Moving on to the nature of "Nine Perfect Strangers," the series revolves around a group of Australians seeking transformation at an exclusive health and wellness retreat named Tranquillum House. The official synopsis reads: "Nine Australians, at different points in their lives, attend an expensive ten-day 'total mind and body transformation retreat' at a place called Tranquillum House, run by a mysterious Russian woman named Masha." Kidman's character, Masha, is tasked with ensuring that the guests receive beneficial treatment during their stay.

Adapted from Liane Moriarty's novel, the same author behind "Big Little Lies," the cast includes not only Kidman but also Melissa McCarthy and Luke Evans. Evans portrays Lars, a client at Tranquillum House seeking to improve his health. As the story unfolds, Frances Welty (played by McCarthy), a once-successful romantic novelist, becomes intrigued by her roommates and the mysteries surrounding the retreat. Masha, the enigmatic owner and director of Tranquillum House, becomes the focal point of Frances's curiosity.

The series, co-written by David Kelley, John Henry Butterworth, and Samantha Strauss, is produced by Made Up Stories and Blossom Films, the production companies of Bruna Papandrea and Nicole Kidman, respectively. These are the same entities that produced "Big Little Lies."

Excitingly, Kidman confirmed during the promotional period for "Nine Perfect Strangers" that a third season of "Big Little Lies" is in development. Speaking on the podcast Jam Nation, Kidman shared that Liane Moriarty is working on a new book that will serve as the basis for the upcoming season. Kidman expressed enthusiasm, stating, "There's a story being made up. Our group of women wants to do it. The core of the ideas just need to solidify, but there will be a third season." Fans can anticipate further captivating narratives from the talented ensemble cast of "Big Little Lies."
