On Wednesday night, hooded men broke into the actor's house and stole some of his belongings.
The actor Keanu Reeves was once again a victim of insecurity in the last few hours. Thieves wearing balaclavas broke into his house and fled the scene before the police arrived.
According to TMZ, the actor's Los Angeles home was robbed on Wednesday night. Los Angeles police responded to an anonymous call about a possible intruder on Reeves' property around 7 p.m.
The police arrived at the scene and searched the area, but did not find anyone. However, the police returned there around 1 a.m. when an alarm went off on the property.
Security cameras captured several men wearing balaclavas breaking a window and entering the John Wick actor's home. The criminals took a firearm from the house before fleeing. It's unclear if anything else was taken, but Keanu was not on the property at the time.
Detectives are still watching videos of the home and neighborhood for more clues. One thing they are specifically investigating is whether the first call to police was made by someone who was planning the robbery.
The John Wick star's home has become a regular target for Los Angeles criminals. Two consecutive trespassers entered the premises in 2014, and Reeves was also granted a temporary restraining order against an alleged stalker who frequently showed up at his home.
The LAPD had been investigating this but no further info has been released. It may have been someone who knew him. Seems whoever did this breaking called TMZ first. The police weren't involved till later. As usual Keanu was out of town and was able to keep up with the story while he was out of town. The LAPD made an announcement but there was no real explanation of what "items were taken and even though rumor was there was a gun taken but that isn't illegal and Keanu has practiced extensively with guns on a range because of JW movies. No further info on this has been made available.
