Notably absent from the guest list was Meghan Markle, once considered a friend of Oprah's. Oprah herself celebrated the milestone with a healthy beach run, emphasizing the importance of health as the best gift.
Despite Oprah receiving tributes on social media from the likes of Gigi Hadid, Chris Jenna, and others, Meghan's absence from the celebration didn't go unnoticed.
This isn't the first time Meghan was excluded from Oprah's gatherings, as she was also not invited to Oprah's 69th birthday party last year. Despite being friends and even attending the UK wedding in May 2018 and being interviewed by Oprah in March 2021, Meghan and Prince Harry missed out on Oprah's celebrations.
The couple also skipped the 25th anniversary of Anastasia Beverly Hills, attended by Oprah, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Lopez. Columnist Kara Kennedy interpreted these snubs as a sign of a shift in the tide for the Sussexes. She suggested that their decision to trade royal duties for celebrity status might not be paying off as anticipated.
Referring to their interview with Oprah, Kennedy emphasized the couple's alleged campaign against the British Monarchy, using Oprah as a platform, citing insights from an unnamed Hollywood insider who claimed that the public is starting to see through their intentions.
