Ewan McGregor
Ewan McGregor's personal life has not been as documented, but he did hit the headlines with surprise in 2017: the Obi-Wan Kenobi actor and his partner, French producer Eve Mavrakis, ended a 22-year marriage. and with four children in common, when they were 46 and 51 years old respectively.
The reason was that McGregor had been seen kissing actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 32, with whom he had shared a cast in the series Fargo. It was never confirmed whether there were cuckoldings or not: he alleged that the kiss with Winstead was after the breakup with Mavrakis, but she suspected otherwise. In 2021 they became parents to a baby who has been with McGregor's daughters for 25 years.
Kelsey Grammer
In the case of Kelsey Grammer, the protagonist of Frasier, what was most surprising was how little time passed between one marriage and another. In 1997, the actor had married Camille Grammer (also known for her participation in the reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), who filed for divorce in July 2010, when she was 43 years old and he was 55. Very little It was later revealed that Kelsey had proposed to a 29-year-old flight attendant, whom he would marry in February of the following year, just two weeks after the divorce proceedings were completed. Additionally, it emerged that Camille had accused her ex of physical and verbal abuse during their marriage.
Noah Baumbach
Noah Baumbach is not exactly an actor, but his case couldn't be more Hollywood. Not only did he have a divorce that was widely reported in the press, but he himself used it as material for a script, that of the film Marriage Story that he made for Netflix. Although he denied that this was based on his biography, it was evident: Adam Driver played an egocentric theater director and Scarlett Johansson played an actress who feels neglected by her husband. Baumbach had been with actress Jennifer Jason Leigh for almost 10 years, and shortly after meeting Greta Gerwig - on the set of his wife's film - they divorced with a son less than a year old. Greta and Noah began dating publicly months later and have remained together ever since.
Sean Penn
The marriage between Sean Penn and Robin Wright lasted 11 years, until 2008, when they were 48 and 43 respectively. Both were separated for a while and filed for divorce, although they later withdrew the lawsuit and remained together. However, Penn began dating model Petra Nemcova, 28, while he was still married to Wright, which caused them to divorce permanently. Very soon after, the actor began a relationship with Scarlett Johansson, 26.
Sylvester Stallone
We now go back to the 1980s to remember action star Sylvester Stallone's divorce history. After eleven years married to Sasha Czack, then 35 years old, he left her for a 22-year-old model, Brigitte Nielsen, whom he married for two years and whom he also left for a younger model, Jennifer Flavin, only 19, his third wife. However, this turned out to be the final one.
Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise's love history has always been as talked about (and also questioned) as his career. But before he was a star, in 1987, he was already married to Mimi Rogers. Two years after the nuptials, his fame skyrocketed and suddenly it didn't fit in advertising speaking: he was a very successful 27-year-old man married to a not-too-popular 33-year-old actress. Whether it was because of that image or not, I don't know. We know, but Cruise left Rogers in 1990 for Nicole Kidman, then 22, whom he met on the set of Days of Thunder. When he broke up with Kidman, when she was 34, he began his relationship with Penelope Cruz, then 27.
Mel Gibson
Another actor who has given the press a lot of talk about his relationships and his legal battles has been Mel Gibson. In 2009 he separated from his wife, Robyn Moore, whom he had been with for almost three decades, when they were 55 and 53 years old. The cause was that he had gotten a 39-year-old pianist, Oksana Grigorieva, 39, pregnant. What was notable about that was not only the breakup, but the subsequent trial: married without any prenuptial agreement, Gibson had to give Moore half of his fortune, about 850 million dollars. Later, Grigorieva also had a lawsuit against her (with cross accusations of fortune-hunting and violence) for the custody of her daughter and the actor continued looking for younger women. Thus, in 2007 he had his ninth child with a 26-year-old woman, the equestrian show jumper Rosalind Ross.
