The Hollywood actor is now reportedly seeking to foster good relations with the royal family, particularly as he is involved in charitable initiatives such as The Prince's Trust And TKMaxx & Homesense Awards 2023.
Sources close to the organization of Charles III's charitable event indicate that the Clooneys aim to be on good terms with King Charles III and the wider royal family. This development signals a departure from their earlier camaraderie with Meghan and Prince Harry.
While George and Amal may not explicitly take sides, their recent appearance at the gala is perceived as a show of support for King Charles III. Despite attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018, where they were seated in an exclusive section, the Clooneys seem to be adjusting their affiliations.
During the gala, Princess Diana's former roommate, Carolyn Bartholomew, queried George and Amal about their connection with the royal couple, to which they replied, "We don't." Although George had danced with Meghan and Kate Middleton at a post-wedding celebration, the Clooneys maintained a certain distance.
