In March 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the move to Los Angeles, seemingly embracing the Hollywood lifestyle.

However, recent events suggest that Hollywood might not be as welcoming to them as initially thought. The couple notably did not receive invitations to the 29th Annual Critics' Choice Awards held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

The ceremony saw notable attendees like Margot Robbie and Emily Blunt, who both dazzled in red attire. The big winner of the night was Oppenheimer, securing eight trophies, while Barbie followed with six wins, including Best Comedy and Best Song.

The exclusion from the glittering event leaves Meghan potentially disgruntled, finding herself uninvited and seemingly blacklisted. Adding to the intrigue, Meghan's close friend and former "Suits" co-star, Abigail Spencer, played a key role in the awards ceremony. Megan feels sidelined as Spencer advances in her career, having also presented at the Critics Choice Awards, with four other "Suits" actors presenting at the Golden Globes, where Meghan was notably absent.

Hollywood's distancing from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is becoming increasingly evident, with royal author Lisa M. Davies suggesting that they are now viewed as toxic rather than the once-considered golden couple.

According to Davies, Hollywood bigwigs and U.S. politicians are actively disassociating themselves from the couple, marking a stark change from the open doors and widespread support they enjoyed in December 2022. Davies expressed, "I think the Americans see them very clearly now, the movers and shakers that they relied on — politicians, movie stars, humanitarians, publishers, and billionaires — they've all dropped them. I think they're deemed as toxic."

Davies drew a comparison between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the story of Icarus, suggesting that despite their efforts and publicity stunts, they have failed to secure a desired position in the entertainment sector.

Correspondent Kinsey Scoffield emphasized that the couple's allegations against the royal family may have taken them in a different direction than originally intended. Scoffield noted, "I do think that Harry and Megan expected more support from Hollywood than they've recently received... Their decorum is making people think twice about the association, and they had an amazing opportunity to elevate themselves and actually be Hollywood royalty."
