Kate Middleton's ex-boyfriend for whom she ALMOST left Prince William

It would be impossible to imagine Kate Middleton having a different life than the one she now leads as the wife of Prince William. However, at some point, she was on the verge of leaving the young royal before getting married, because she had a hard time getting over an ex-boyfriend who still had a piece of her heart.

And, according to new reports, the now Princess of Wales hesitated to marry her now husband, even though she finally made the decision to join the royal family. She reads on to find out what happened between them and who she would have almost given up the chance to become Queen of England for.

Did Kate Middleton almost leave Prince William? Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, a source who is reportedly a former friend of Kate Middleton revealed details of her past romance with Harry Blakelock, which they described as "the one that got away." "When Kate arrived in Florence, she was very obsessed with Harry," the anonymous schoolmate explained. "She talked about him all the time and he seemed to have caused her a lot of problems."

Apparently, Harry wasn't as pleased with Kate as she was with him. And the source alleged that she played with the future princess's feelings and that in the end it didn't work out, although there seemed to be a moment when Kate hoped for a reconciliation.

"He seemed to have had problems with her when they were at school and she was always talking about how she could get him back," the source continued. Eventually, Kate was courted by Prince William, although the same source said that at first she wasn't necessarily impressed with his advances. "Prince William expressed a little interest, but I think Kate was still playing hard to get," they explained.

"He wasn't really sure if she was interested." In the end, however, Williams' persistence paid off. The royal couple married in 2011 and have since welcomed three children, including second in line to the throne, Prince George, with whom they are apparently already talking about their relationships and future obligations.

Did Kate Middleton and Prince William break up before getting married? While William and Kate are often considered a perfect couple, their relationship has not been without its challenges. The couple apparently hit a rough patch in 2006, when William was unable to spend the Christmas holidays with his girlfriend as only married couples were invited to the Queen's celebrations at Sandringham.

William apparently tried to make it up to Kate by suggesting they do something big together over New Year's, but apparently disappointed his future wife when he told her on Boxing Day that she had to stay with her family. “William had been having second thoughts and sat down with his father and his grandmother to have a frank conversation about his future with Kate.

“They both advised him not to rush into anything,” royal author Katie Nicholl wrote in her book “The Making of a Royal Romance.” William's decision to cancel his plans upset Kate so much that the couple were reported to have separated in 2007. However, the separation was short-lived, as the couple reconciled the same year, only to marry four years later. . William and Kate have gone from strength to strength (at least in the public eye) since then.
