The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to be the target of ridicule in the European nation
The famous marriage formed by the American actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has once again been the subject of ridicule in the United Kingdom, after a popular comedian was stubborn about the couple and all the controversy they caused since they abandoned their royal duties to beginning of the year 2020.
Simon Brodkin, a well-known UK comedian who used to perform as Lee Nelson, used his famous live show to attack Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, after the couple once said they pulled "the funny grenade pin." at a Halloween party. For the comedian, that phrase was so embarrassing that he began to "support Prince Andrew" (accused of abusing a minor).
I started, I wanted to like them. They were raising interesting points about racism and misogyny, but then they started calling each other H and M and I thought, 'Oh, go to m13***d4,' he stated.
Truly, when Harry recounted a specific date with Meghan as the night they, in his words, "took the safety off of a funny grenade," I found myself amusingly supporting Prince Andrew.
The reference made by Simon Brodkin pertained to a Halloween party held the night before Harry and Meghan's relationship became public, as portrayed in their Netflix series, 'Harry & Meghan,' released in December 2022.
"We attended this Halloween party together where we could be entirely disguised, and no one would recognize us," Harry shared on the show. "I had a scarf and protective glasses," he continued, leading to Meghan's statement:
"You borrowed a fantastic costume. And we thought, 'Well, this might be our last chance to go out and have fun in the world. Pull the latch on the fun grenade,' which we did," added Prince Harry.
Ridiculing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has become a recurring theme in the daily discussions of journalists and media in the United Kingdom. Their actions, especially their revelations about the alleged racist behavior within the British royal family, have not been forgiven, making them constant targets for criticism.
