Meghan Markle Faces Criticism as Sussexes Clash with Royal Family employees

Meghan Markle, accused of being a tyrant and narcissistic sociopath, faces harsh criticism from former employees of Kensington Palace.

Meghan Markle Faces Criticism as Sussexes Clash with Royal Family employees

In a revealing book titled "Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown," journalist Valentine Low explores the alleged lack of respect and abusive treatment meted out by Prince Harry's wife during their time as active members of the royal and British family. The accusations resurface as the couple continues their public rift with King Charles III.

Describing Meghan as a "narcissistic sociopath," the book draws on interviews with palace workers who were part of the Sussexes' staff while residing in London's Kensington Palace before their move to Windsor in 2019. The Sussex survivors club, as these former employees are known, labels her a "tyrant" for reportedly making numerous staff members cry due to her disrespectful and abusive behavior. These allegations are not new, having been previously denied by Meghan herself when they first surfaced in the tabloids.

Buckingham Palace had initiated an investigation into the reported harassment by the Duchess of Sussex, but the results were never made public. The ongoing controversy is reminiscent of a past scandal involving the Grand Duchess Consort of Luxembourg, María Teresa, who was accused of being a "dictator" in a report commissioned by the Prime Minister.

Despite the official mourning period for the late Queen Elizabeth II coming to an end, Harry and Meghan find themselves at the center of continued scrutiny. The royal family's official website now places the couple at the bottom of the organization chart, alongside the disgraced Duke of York. Their decision to step away from institutional responsibilities two years ago now positions them below lesser-known members of the dynasty.

The possibility of a reconciliation between the Sussexes and the royal family seems increasingly unlikely, especially with the anticipation of Prince Harry's authorized memoirs. Speculation suggests that the new king, Charles III, may delay deciding whether to grant the title of princes to Harry and Meghan's children until after the memoirs' release. The decision, guided by the letter patent issued by George V in 1917, is not automatic and remains the personal prerogative of the monarch. The outcome will likely indicate the extent of the divide between the Sussexes and the British royal family.
