Comedian Joe Koy has plunged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle into a precarious situation with his Golden Globes joke targeting the couple.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Popularity Plunge, While Harry's Aviation Award Sparks Controversy

The host mocked the Sussexes during the 2024 Golden Globes, specifically taking aim at their Netflix deal, stating that Harry and Meghan were paid millions for doing nothing, and that's just by Netflix. Following this comedic jab, the royal couple has received a warning about potential repercussions on their popularity.

Royal expert Lady Colin Campbell issued the warning during an interview with GB News, expressing her belief that the couple will face significant challenges, asserting that "the chickens are coming home to roost in a very big way." She predicts that things will worsen for Harry and Meghan, emphasizing their predictability in attempting to address the Golden Globe snub by acquiring another award, this time in aviation for Harry.

Reports indicate that Prince Harry is set to be inducted as a living legend of aviation alongside Apollo 11 hero Buzz Aldrin at a prestigious ceremony in Beverly Hills. John Travolta will host the event, previously dubbed the "Oscars of Aviation" by actor Morgan Freeman. The recognition comes ahead of Charles Duke, the youngest person to walk on the moon in 1972.

The ceremony will celebrate Harry's contributions, including his work with the Invictus Games foundation. While it remains unclear whether Harry or Meghan will attend, social media reactions show confusion and questioning regarding Harry's inclusion in the list of inductees.

Harry will join other aviation and aerospace legends like Aldrin, Jeff Bezos, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman, Elon Musk, and Saudi Prince Sultan Ben Salman. Additional inductees this year include US Navy pilot Fred George and former world speed record holder Steve Hinton. The event's website highlights Harry's charitable work and organizations, praising him as a humanitarian, military veteran, mental wellness advocate, and environmentalist.

It acknowledges his efforts with various entities, including Travelist Center, African Parks, WellChild, the Aspen Institute Commission on Information Disorder, and the Archewell Foundation. Some critics argue that Harry and Meghan have essentially purchased the award as a response to the Sandhurst book controversy, questioning the award's value and prestige if it can be acquired without meeting specific conditions.
