Shannen Doherty, former star of Beverly Hills 90210, has recently shared a significant update on her ongoing battle with stage four breast cancer, describing it as a miraculous breakthrough.
In a revelation on her Let's Be Clear podcast, she disclosed that a new cancer infusion treatment has given her newfound hope for the future. Initially, after four treatments, there was minimal improvement, prompting suggestions to switch treatments.
However, Shannon decided to persist, and after the sixth or seventh treatment, she witnessed a breakthrough in breaking down the blood-brain barrier. She considers her body's response to the treatment a miracle, suggesting divine intervention or perhaps the efficacy of the drug. Shannon emphasized the search for miracles in unexpected places, acknowledging that sometimes they are right in front of us.
The Charmed alum's battle with breast cancer began in 2015, entering remission in 2017 following chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the cancer returned as stage four in 2019, metastasizing to her brain and bones.
Despite facing this formidable challenge, Shannon remains resolute and has a positive outlook on life. In a previous statement, she expressed that death doesn't scare her, highlighting her belief in being a good person. She emphasized her desire to continue living, loving, creating, and making positive changes. Shannon also alluded to her greatest memories being yet to come.
In a more personal revelation, Shannon shared that she discovered her husband of over a decade, Curtis Warrenko, was having an affair just before undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor. Despite the challenges in her personal life, Shannon continues to fight and is not ready to give up on living. In 2021, she candidly informed her fans about her ongoing battle, asserting her determination to stay alive despite the hurdles she faces.
