Britney Spears' friends are "concerned" about the pop star's well-being after a big fight with her boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz, who they say is "a bad influence."
Friends of Britney Spears are "concerned" for the pop star's well-being after a huge fight with her boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz, which culminated in an ambulance being called because Britney sprained her ankle.
"He has been a bad influence from the beginning," said a friend. A second confidant described Soliz as "extremely dangerous."
Spears, 42, has been “getting closer” to Soliz amid her divorce from her third husband, Sam Asghari. Soliz previously worked for the Grammy winner at her $7.4 million mansion in Thousand Oaks, California, but was fired after his extensive criminal history was revealed.
Court records show that he has been accused of multiple crimes in the last 20 years and was convicted of firearm possession in 2022. "He is a bad influence on her," another source assured.
Spears has continued to see Soliz romantically since he stopped working for her, most recently at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, where the couple got into an altercation on Thursday.
After photos emerged of the "Toxic" singer visibly distraught as she stood outside the famous hotel with her boyfriend, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that she had received a 911 call at 12:42 a.m. local time "reporting that an adult female had been injured."
An ambulance responded to the scene, although several sources close to Spears say she did not seek medical attention and instead returned home "safely." The pop star claimed she "sprained her ankle" at the hotel.
The "Woman in Me" author wrote on Instagram that she simply "sprained her ankle" during the dispute. "The paramedics showed up at my door illegally," she alleged, adding: "They never entered my room but I felt completely harassed."
The incident occurred just hours after Spears filed for divorce from Asghari, 30, who filed for the dissolution of her year-long marriage last August. The singer was under guardianship from February 2008 to November 2021.
