After apologizing for altering the image of her and her family on 'Mother's Day', Kate Middleton made her first public appearance, this time alongside Prince William.
Princess Kate Middleton was captured in images with Prince William after offering a public apology for editing a Mother's Day photo that sparked controversy.
The royal couple were spotted leaving Windsor Castle in a Land Rover, just hours after Kate admitted altering a lovely picture of her with her three children.
According to The Sun, Kate Middleton reappeared after having been last seen in December 2023 due to the abdominal surgery she underwent in January of this year.
This would be the second photograph that the British media leaked regarding the return of the Princess of Wales to public life. It should be remembered that Kate was caught inside a car wearing dark glasses.
This time Kate Middleton looked out the window of the back seat of the car where she was next to Prince William and seemed to have her hair up in a bun. According to The Sun, Kate was on her way to a private date in London.
For her part, Prince William looks at her phone as he heads to the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, however Kate will not attend due to her private appointment.
This small glimpse shows the Princess of Wales still recovering from surgery, so the royal family's plans to make it her first official task in June still stand.
Kate Middleton issued her first statement following her procedure through a tweet on the occasion of Mother's Day, which included the edited image that sparked an online controversy.
The TMZ portal carried out a detailed analysis of the altered image, highlighting certain deformations in parts of the body that have attracted attention.
Likewise, Sky News revealed that the metadata of the original photo indicates that it was taken at Adelaide Cottage, the royal family's residence in Windsor.
It was also discovered that the image was captured with a DSLR camera and subsequently edited twice in Photoshop on an Apple MacBook: once on Friday night and once on Saturday morning, before being published by the Palace.
Five major news agencies, including The Associated Press, removed the image over concerns about its digital manipulation, prompting the Princess of Wales to issue a public apology after sharing it.
In a social media post, Kate said that “like many amateur photographers, I sometimes experiment with editing.”
“I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion caused by the family photograph we shared,” she stated in the message.
