The typically mild-mannered Bradley Walsh has made waves with shocking allegations about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
In a bombshell revelation, the beloved host of the hit ITV quiz show The Chase claims that Meghan Markle once showed up unannounced at his home, attempting to seduce him in a desperate bid to secure a spot on the program. This story reads like something straight out of a juicy tabloid, but according to Walsh, the events he describes are 100% real. The footage he has released paints a picture of a woman willing to go to extreme lengths to boost her public profile and get what she wants.
In an exclusive interview, Walsh recounts the fateful day when Meghan Markle showed up at his doorstep, uninvited and unannounced. "I was just enjoying a quiet afternoon at home when suddenly there was a knock at the door," Walsh explained. "I opened it to find Meghan Markle standing there, all dolled up and smiling sweetly. I have to admit, I was rather taken aback." According to Walsh, Meghan wasted no time in making her intentions clear. "She started laying it on thick, batting her eyelashes and telling me what a big fan she was of the show. Before I knew it, she was practically throwing herself at me, insisting that she'd be perfect for a spot on The Chase."
Walsh says he was understandably caught off guard by her brazen behavior. "I've had my fair share of overeager contestants trying to get on the show, but this was something else entirely. She was acting like a complete desperate fame chaser, and I have to admit it was rather unseemly to witness." Walsh has released footage of the encounter, which he secretly recorded on his phone. In the video, Meghan can be seen arriving at Walsh's home, knocking on the door, and greeting him with an overly enthusiastic smile. "Hi Bradley, I'm so sorry to just show up like this, but I was hoping we could chat about me being a contestant on The Chase," Meghan can be heard saying, her voice dripping with false sincerity.
Walsh, looking visibly uncomfortable, tries to politely deflect her advances. "Well, Meghan, I'm quite flattered, but you know the show has a very rigorous contestant selection process. I'm not sure I'd be able to just bypass that." Undeterred, Meghan leans in closer, placing a hand on Walsh's arm. "Oh, I'm sure we could work something out," she purrs. "After all, I'm a huge fan of the show, and I think I'd be a natural. Why don't you let me come in, and we can discuss it further?" The video then shows Walsh firmly closing the door, cutting off Meghan's attempts to worm her way inside. "I'm sorry, but I'm not comfortable with this," he can be heard saying. "Perhaps you could submit an application like everyone else."
This isn't the first time Meghan Markle has been accused of using her celebrity to try and get special treatment. Just last year, there were reports that she had attempted to leverage her royal connections to secure a judging spot on the popular reality show Britain's Got Talent. According to sources, Meghan had reached out to the show's producers, claiming that her unique perspective and global appeal would be a valuable asset to the program. However, the producers reportedly rebuffed her advances, citing concerns that her involvement would overshadow the actual talent on display. "Meghan seems to have this belief that simply by virtue of who she is, she's entitled to special treatment," one insider told The Sun at the time. "She thinks her name and celebrity status should be enough to bypass the normal channels and get her whatever she wants."
Walsh's scathing characterization of Meghan as a desperate fame chaser is sure to ruffle some feathers, but it's a label that seems to have stuck in the past. In the years since her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan has been dogged by accusations that she's more interested in building her own celebrity than in fulfilling her royal duties. Critics have pointed to her high-profile collaborations with the likes of Vogue and her lucrative Netflix deal as evidence of her hunger for the limelight. Even some of Meghan's supporters have acknowledged that she may have a tendency to overstep boundaries in her quest for fame and influence. Royal biographer Omid Scobie, who is generally sympathetic to Meghan, has admitted that she does have a habit of trying to find ways to make herself essential.
As for the future of Meghan's potential appearance on The Chase, it seems highly unlikely that Walsh will be inviting her onto the show anytime soon.
