Royal Photographer ROASTS Meghan Markle's Rash & Hasty Overnight Antics

In a recent discussion during the inaugural "Royal Exclusive Live Show," veteran royal photographer Arthur Edwards offered a candid and critical perspective on Prince Harry's dramatic transformation following his relationship with Meghan Markle.

Royal Photographer ROASTS Meghan Markle's Rash & Hasty Overnight Antics

Edwards, who has spent 45 years capturing key moments within the royal family, suggested that Meghan played a pivotal role in Harry’s decision to leave the UK and relinquish his royal duties. Edwards reflected on the early days of Harry and Meghan's relationship, describing Meghan as a charismatic figure who engaged warmly with the public and embodied the qualities expected of someone marrying into the royal family.

As someone who accompanied the couple on various royal tours, Edwards was initially impressed by Meghan’s charm and likability. However, he observed a stark shift in their dynamic over time. He recalled, "During the first year, Meghan was fantastic. I traveled everywhere with them." But then, Edwards said, everything changed suddenly. Meghan declared, "We’re going," and that was the turning point. Edwards expressed surprise at Harry’s abrupt departure from the royal family, though he emphasized that the decision was ultimately Harry's to make.

While Edwards acknowledged that Harry and Meghan’s choice to step away from royal duties was fair, he voiced concerns about how their actions since then have reshaped public perceptions of the prince. Edwards remarked that the couple had become increasingly critical of the royal family, suggesting that their pursuit of financial gain had led them down a more negative path. He lamented the drastic change in Harry's character, noting that the once-fun and lively prince he knew had seemingly disappeared. "He was a fabulous person to work with," Edwards reminisced, adding that he feels saddened by the transformation.

The discussion also touched on Meghan's background and ambitions. Edwards speculated that her biracial identity might have contributed to a sense of entitlement, leading her to underestimate the complexities of royal life. He suggested that Meghan believed she could create a unique role for herself and Harry within the royal family and thought they could surpass the popularity of Harry's brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Catherine, the Princess of Wales. However, Edwards argued that rather than elevating Harry’s status, Meghan’s influence had diminished it significantly.

Edwards’ observations are echoed by a broader narrative among royal watchers, many of whom express concern over the changes in Harry’s demeanor since leaving the royal family. He pointed out how Harry seemed to change once Meghan became part of his life, noting that even the royal family had expressed concerns over their rapid engagement. Meghan’s assertiveness, Edwards claimed, led to a disregard for advice from seasoned royal aides, which may have further complicated her integration into royal life. As Meghan sought to establish her own identity, Edwards noted that she may have miscalculated the demands of royal protocol, especially regarding public engagements.

A point of contention Edwards raised was Meghan's controversial stance on being compensated for her public appearances. He argued that as a member of the royal family, Meghan was already receiving significant support in terms of housing, wardrobe, and travel expenses. Edwards speculated that Meghan may have used emotional manipulation to win over Harry, even drawing parallels between herself and Princess Diana through shared fragrances and a compelling persona. This strategy, he suggested, may have made it easier for her to capture Harry's heart, but it also raised questions about her long-term intentions.

Edwards concluded by lamenting the loss of the vibrant, fun-loving Harry he once knew. He hinted that Harry is now grappling with the consequences of his decisions, likely yearning for the stability and support that came with being a working royal. As he navigates the pressures of maintaining financial independence while meeting Meghan’s expectations, Edwards implied that Harry might be reflecting on the sacrifices he made and the challenges of his new reality.
