Princess Katherine has made a last-minute decision to accompany Prince William on an important royal engagement.
The Princess of Wales will join the Prince of Wales in London on Monday to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day. This event will also mark 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Her decision follows an emotional visit on January 14 to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she previously received cancer treatment. As she continues her recovery, the royal mother of three is gradually resuming her public duties.
The Prince and Princess have a history of engaging with Holocaust survivors. In 2020, they attended the 75th anniversary event in London, where Kate also took striking portraits of Ian Bernstein and Steven Frank at Kensington Palace. These images were later featured in a photography exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London.
During a 2017 tour of Poland with Prince William, the then-Duchess of Cambridge made a deeply moving visit to the Stutthof concentration camp near Gdańsk.
